Alternative Grilling Method

I personally like the pan-seared method because the minced garlic has longer to cook in the pan, getting nice and soft and sweet. However, grilling is a terrific option that is easy and still offers all of the delicious sweet and spicy flavors you want!

If grilling, preheat the grill to medium heat, 350-400 degrees F. Grill the pork chops for 2 minutes per side. Then brush glaze over the pork chops and continue cooking for an additional 1 minute per side, brushing again, after you flip the pork chops.

Serving Suggestions

These fork-tender and super sticky pork chops pair well with a nearly endless number of side dishes! Serve with your fave carbs and starches like fluffy rice, mashed potatoes, roasted potatoes, or pasta.

For a low-carb dinner you can serve with lighter cauliflower rice or mashed cauliflower, or your choice of gluten-free pasta alternative.

And oh, the veggies! Steamed, sauteed, roasted, air fried… however you like your vegetables cooked, they’ll probably go great with this meaty main dish. A few of our popular crowd-pleasers include roasted or steamed broccoli, air fryer asparagus or green beans, and sauteed mushrooms.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the secret to juicy tender pork chops?

The key to moist chops is to first and foremost quickly sear the outside. Searing the outside of the pork chops locks in the juices as they continue to cook. Then be sure to NOT overcook them.

Is Cholula hot sauce spicy?

I would say Cholula is on the milder side of hot sauces… It does have a good bit of heat but the emphasis is definitely on the tangy, peppery flavors without a lot of spiciness.

Is it better to bake or pan-fry pork chops?

Because this garlic honey pork chops recipe includes cooking the meat in a sticky glaze, it is definitely best to cook them on the stovetop. This sear-and-simmer method gets a nice crust on the outside then lower the heat to completely cook the pork without drying out.

How long does cooked pork last?

Leftover pork chops will keep well for up to 3-4 days in an airtight container in the refrigerator. This recipe is great to meal prep for weekly lunches!
