Vodka Gummy Bears {Pops}
A fun GROWN UP cocktail popsicle recipe! Vodka Gummy Bears layered into sparkling freezer pops. These are almost too good to be true. And of course, we’ve made a kiddie version as well!
So…. I have this friend, and she’s a bad influence.
No. No, let me start again.
I have this friend, and she’s a GENIUS.
She was telling me about her experience with Vodka Gummy Bears, and how they are all the rage right now.
I rolled my eyes.
I scowled at the vulgarity of such an idea.
I mean why waste good vodka? Why waste good gummy bears, for that matter?
…And then the idea of vodka soaked gummy bears started coming together in the form of an intense curiosity.
So of course I had to try them, those devilish little teddy tempters.
And guess what?
They’re are pretty amazing. Not just for crazy college kids either… for moms who need a TGIF moment after a long week.
So that same friend I mentioned?
She thought it might be a good idea to put Vodka Gummy Bears into freezer pops.
And I agreed.
So here you have it. The simplest (and most fun) cocktail pop recipe ever.
You simply soak your gummy bears in vodka for 24 to 72 hours. Then once they are plump and saturated, place them in popsicle molds and fill with clear soda like Sprite or ginger ale.
The light clear soda allows the fruity flavor of the vodka gummy bears to shine through. Plus using a sparkling beverage means some of the carbonation bubbles freeze in place, for a lively effervescent look and texture.
These pops are so much fun for weekend parties! Just imagine your friends sitting around on the deck slurping (and chewing) on these fizzy gummy boozy summertime treats.
Of course, we couldn’t make vodka gummy bears {pops} without making a kiddie version. These two would never allow mom and dad to be the only ones eating frozen gummy bear treats.
Just omit the vodka and the whole soaking process, then freeze in layers so the gummy bears are evenly distributed throughout.
We used Sprite, orange soda and grape soda to make the kiddie pops.
I’ll admit, the color hides the gummy bears a little, but offers big BIG flavor.

Vodka Gummy Bears Pops
Yield: 10
Prep Time:20 minutes (active time)
Ingredients:
- 1 1/4 cup vodka
- 1 1/4 cup gummy bears
- 3 cups Sprite or Ginger Ale (or Fanta!)
- wooden popsicle sticks
Directions:
- Pour the vodka in a bowl. Add the gummy bears, cover, and allow them to soak for 24-72 hours. The longer the gummy bears soak, the more vodka they absorb. They also grow in size!
- Once the gummy bears have soaked to your liking, stir to separate them. They strain one-third of them out of the vodka and place in the bottom of 10 popsicle molds. Pour Sprite over the gummy bears until just covered, about one-third full. Then place in the freezer for 60-90 minutes.
- Once the first layer is frozen, add the popsicle sticks and add a second layer of strained gummy bears and soda. Freeze again and repeat a third time. The total layering/freezing process should take around 4+ hours.
NOTE: For a kid-friendly variation, omit the vodka and soaking process.

This is such a genius idea. I may be pushing 30, but I will forever love gummy bears. Pinned.
Oh my gosh!! I think this may be the only reason I’m happy to be an adult!
Such an awesome Idea!! I love both versions!
OMG – so great! I love it!
Girl, these are a ton of fun!
How fun!
What an AMAZING idea!
What a super fun treat for summer!! Love the adult version!
This is brilliant!
Girl, you slay me with these pops! Love!
I tried the vodka gummies a couple years ago and was not impressed. I think I didn’t let them soak in the vodka long enough. I’ve heard if you soak them longer, the flavor of the vodka disappears, but that seems too good to be true. Either way, it’s time to try them again!! Especially in Popsicle form…genius!
These are so much fun! I love the adult popsicles!
totally, totally amazing.
This looks crazy fun! I have heard about the vodka gummy bears but never tried it. You just convinced me! Love the kids version too!
Sommer these pops are so playful & creative!! Love them :)
Cute, cute, cute! My college son talked about vodka jelly bears and I wasn’t intrigued at first, but seeing those cocorful little guys embedded in an adults only ice pop has me thinking that this weekend may be the perfect time to try this fun dessert!

This is why I hate trying to make things I find online. I soaked the gummy bears (Hariba, not generic ones) for not even 24 hours, and they looked like blobs. They are barely recognizable as bears. How, exactly, did you do them as seen in the picture?
