Serving Suggestions

If you are including the optional salt garnish around the rim, start by adding a small amount of simple syrup in a shallow dish. Dip the rims of the margarita glasses in the simple syrup, then dip them in margarita salt.

Once blended, pour the margarita recipe into the glasses, add a lime slice or lime wedge, and serve immediately!

Frosty, sweet-and-sour, salty margs are great to enjoy with classic party snacks like chips with homemade salsa, guacamole, and queso blanco (cheese dip). Or pair these stout drinks with heartier apps like 5 layer bean dip, spicy stuffed jalapeños, chorizo stuffed mushrooms, or layered Mexican sopes.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s the difference between a frozen margarita and a regular margarita?

A classic margarita, also referred to as a margarita on the rocks, is an alcoholic beverage served over ice. Frozen margarita recipes blend together the same liquid with plenty of ice to make a frosty, creamy, almost smoothie-like consistency.

What’s the difference between a frozen margarita and a daiquiri?

The primary difference lies in the type of alcohol used. Margaritas are made with tequila, whereas daiquiris are typically made with rum and tend to be more fruity and sweet.

Can I make frozen margaritas ahead of time?

I recommend serving frozen margs right after blending… When the ice starts to melt the consistency of the beverage starts to change, and turns from smooth and frosty to a more slushy consistency.
