A Spicy Perspective

About A Spicy Perspective

A Spicy Perspective was created in 2010. It started from a local cooking class called Confidence In The Kitchen in the mountain town of Asheville, North Carolina.

The purpose of this website is firmly grounded in the original purpose of our class:

  • To help you find success in your kitchen, no matter your skill level. When you build confidence, you eliminate anxiety. (And sometimes even develop a love for cooking!)
  • To help you feed your loved ones well. Your time at the table is valuable. Great meals together make positive and powerful memories.

A Spicy Perspective is an extension of the class, and a puree of our personal and kitchen journals. Over the last 15 years, it has evolved into a cooking resource that reaches millions of people worldwide.

The recipes we share are tested and used in our family kitchen. Most are tested many (many) times before they ever make it to our recipe catalog

Our recipes are written in US customary system measurements. However, our recipe form offers a metric measurement converter, as well as a serving slider, to help you adjust the proportions and shrink or increase the batch size.

We love sharing recipes with you and work tirelessly to improve this delicious online cooking resource every day. Feel free to reach out to us at any time!
