My Shenandoah Cabinetry Experience
Our new kitchen cabinets have been ordered!!!! It was a hard decision and I’m so thankful for all your input. You guys know A LOT about cabinetry.Â
Apparently you’ve done this a time or two?
Well after going back and forth about the style and color of our new Shenandoah Cabinets, we decided the new ASP Kitchen will have Mission style cabinetry in Maple Linen.
Like this…
and this.
Although I love the dark espresso tones and ultra modern door styles, we felt the Mission Maple cabinetry was the most transitional. With a fresh modern feel, that would still look natural in our older home. Plus my kitchen doubles as a photography studio, so I need as much light bouncing around as possible. The “linen” white cabinets will keep the kitchen light and airy.
I’ll save the glass and hardware choices for the big reveal. In the meantime, let me tell you about the Shenandoah Cabinetry experience.
Shenandoah Cabinetry is sold exclusively at Lowe’s. So after looking at all the options and ideas online, the easiest way to get started is to walk straight into the Lowe’s Kitchen Project Center.
You will find a large display of Shenandoah Cabinetry samples with all the door styles, color options, glass styles, and hardware. That way, you can put your hands on them and see how they look close up.
They also have Shenandoah Cabinetry mock-kitchens on display so you can oooooh and ahhhhh over the soft-close feature on the drawers and cabinet doors and see many of the storage solutions first-hand.
When you’ve made up your mind about the style of Shenandoah Cabinetry you like best, you simply measure your kitchen (or have Lowe’s send someone to measure for you) then take your measurements back to the Kitchen Project Center.
Lt. Dan used graph paper to draw out our current kitchen, isn’t he cute?
He thought it would make it easier for the designer.
The professional kitchen designers will work with you to make your dream kitchen come alive.
They will find the absolute best configuration, so it looks gorgeous and has ample storage. They can also help you select placement for glass door cabinetry, special storage options and trim.
When you are finished you’ll have layouts and renderings of your new kitchen so you can show all your friends. It’s kind of like showing them baby pictures and wedding videos.
They. Love. It.
Once you place your order, BAM! A few weeks later you have fabulous new Shenandoah Cabinetry at your doorstep, ready to install.
This process is much less painful than you might think. In fact, it’s pretty fun.
Here’s my Shenandoah Cabinetry Kitchen Design. What do you think?
I can’t wait to have it installed and show you the after-shots. It’s going to be beautiful!!
