Easy Slow Cooker Taco Tater Tots Recipe (Make them in the oven of in the slow cooker.) Low fat and gluten free, this is a healthy party recipe for game day!
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F. Place the tater tots in a large bowl. Sprinkle with Old El Paso Taco Seasoning and toss to coat. Spread the tater tots out, in a single layer, on a large rimmed baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes. Then move the tots to a platter and add toppings. Serve warm.
Slow Cooker Method:
Place the tater tots in the crock of a large slow cooker. Sprinkle with Old El Paso Taco Seasoning and toss to coat. Cover the slow cooker and turn on low for 4-5 hours, or high for 2-3 hours. Stir gently once an hour so that all tots spend some time on the bottom of the crock. Once hot and slightly crispy, turn the slow cooker on warm. Add toppings directly to the slow cooker and serve out of the crock.
