Sweet and Sour Grilled Salmon with Pineapple Salsa
This easy grilled salmon recipe is kissed with a tangy-sweet glaze and grilled to perfection! No grill? No problem! You can also make it as a baked salmon recipe. Either way, top it with fresh pineapple salsa for a tantalizing main dish!
Preheat the grill to medium heat, about 350-400 degrees F.
Place a piece of foil on a large baking sheet and set the salmon fillet on it. Pat the salmon dry with a paper towel and let it continue drying for a few minutes as you make the salsa.
Chop all the fresh produce. In a medium bowl, mix the pineapple, bell pepper, onion, cilantro, jalapeno, and garlic. Add ¼ cup TS Sweet & Sour Pineapple Sauce, and 1 teaspoon TS Seasoning Salt to the mix. Stir to combine.
Pour 1 tablespoon avocado oil over the salmon fillet. Brush the oil over the surface of the fillet. Then sprinkle the top of the salmon with 1-2 teaspoons TS Seasoning Salt.
Carefully flip the salmon onto the grill, skin-side-up. Grill for 2 minutes. Then using two large spatulas, flip the salmon over skin-side-down. Brush ½ cup TS Sweet & Sour Pineapple Sauce over the Salmon and grill for another 5-8 minutes. The thickest end of the salmon should bounce back when touched (not feel mushy) yet should still be soft.
Discard the foil. Use two large spatulas to carefully move the whole salmon fillet back onto the baking sheet.
Spoon the salsa over the top of the salmon fillet and serve warm.
