Quick and easy Maple Glazed Carrots with Cinnamon are a perfect side dish for fall! They're lightly spiced, slightly sweet, and ready in only 20 minutes.
Set a large sauté pan (with a lid) over medium-high heat. Place the carrots, water, and salt in the pan. Cover and steam the carrots for 10-12 minutes, until mostly soft.
Remove the lid and add in the butter, maple syrup, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Allow the mixture to melt and mix. Stir and simmer the carrots in the glaze another 2-4 minutes, until they are very soft. Then taste, and add more salt if needed.

Spice it up! Feel free to add more spices if desired. Clove and allspice are good options. You can also add a pinch of cayenne to create a spicy-sweet flavor.
