Healthy 5-Minute Strawberry Pineapple Sherbet
Healthy 5-Minute Strawberry Pineapple Sherbet, a quick soft-serve treat that’s easy on the waistline!
I have a secret love affair with ice cream.
However, over the years I’ve determined ice cream doesn’t always love me back. Sometimes it gives me a sore stomach.
I used to wonder if I was lactose intolerant or had a dairy allergy. But alas… It seems to be just ice cream that makes my tummy hurt. Why God, why?
Needless to say, I’ve had to come up with some frozen alternatives to sooth my need for ice cream.
Today’s Healthy 5-Minute Strawberry Pineapple Sherbet is a super quick and easy frozen treat that is much lighter than ice cream, yet curbs the cravings.
Please note, this is not a dairy-free recipe. It’s not sorbet.
There is greek yogurt in this Healthy 5-Minute Strawberry Pineapple Sherbet to give it a silky ice cream texture. However it’s not quite frozen yogurt either, because there is a greater ratio of fruit than dairy. Therefore I’m calling it sherbet, and that’s what I’m sticking with.
I used only 6-ingredients in this tangy frozen dessert: frozen strawberries, frozen pineapple, greek yogurt, a healthy liquid sweetener, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
For sweeteners you could go with honey, agave, or palm syrup.
Honey is the most obvious choice, however it does add a distinct flavor to the sherbet. I actually prefer using coconut palm syrup, so the fruit flavor shines through.
The best part of this Healthy 5-Minute Strawberry Pineapple Sherbet is that it’s actually ready to eat the moment you puree it.
By blending hard frozen strawberries and frozen pineapple chunks with yogurt and sweetener, you end up with a creamy soft-serve consistency that is begging to be licked!
Of course you can freeze this treat for later, but I like to eat Healthy 5-Minute Strawberry Pineapple Sherbet straight out of the food processor with a spoon!
Don’t judge.

Delicious. Even my hubby loved it. In only used 1 tbsp of honey and it was sweet enough for us. Make sure your frozen fruit chunks are not too big. Don’t add your fruit all at the same time. Will make this again.
