Amy, my Garden Guru, is here today to share Easy Garden Marker Tags to help start your garden off on the right track. Marking your seedlings makes the gardening process much less stressful when it’s time to move your plants outside.
This week we have had incredible warm spring weather here in Western North Carolina. I so needed a dose of Vitamin D!
Warm weather makes me want to plant and play in the garden, but I know that if I plant any of my seedlings now, mother nature will most likely unleash one more cold snap.
I settled instead to start more seeds! I am running out of room in my house for all my seed trays. When starting seeds it is very important to mark your seedling as you plant them, or you may forget what on earth you planted.
It makes for a surprise garden for sure!
As I look over my trays I see black trays and dark soil, boring. Plain old plant tags look boring as well.
As I like to be crafty, I decide to create my own DIY garden marker tags. I have a daughter who is my partner in crime when it comes to all things crafty. We put our heads together and decided on a couple of ideas for seedling marker tags.
Bonus – I had most of the items needed on hand, but any excuse to hit the craft store makes me very happy!
We decided to make stamped popsicle makers and washi tape tags. They are both super-duper easy to craft too. These garden marker tags make for an fun and easy family craft.
