Brandy Java Ice
Brandy Java Ice: This coffee milkshake variation, combining the best qualities of the ever-popular Java Ice and Brandy Ice is a sure-fire hit with the big people!
When Dan and I had been married just a little over a year, we bought our first house. A sweet 1930’s brick bungalow in a part of town with an active urban renewal taking place. We could walk to popular shopping areas and restaurants just a few blocks away and loved the vibrant culture surrounding us.
We had a favorite coffee shop we would frequent, mostly late at night (back when we didn’t have to get up with kids the next morning), and would sit with friends sipping highly caffeinated beverages and laughing for hours.
My favorite splurge was the “Java Ice” coffee milkshake, loaded with creamy vanilla ice cream and little crunchy bits of coffee to keep me up all night.
Several years later, my sister-in-law went through a phase of making “Brandy Ice” every time we got together. The sweet woody flavor of brandy mixed with vanilla ice cream was another winning combination that encouraged laughing and staying up way past bedtime.

Can you see the dilemma at hand?
No… it’s not that I’ve eaten too much ice cream over the years. Guess again.
Anytime I start to make Java Ice or Brandy Ice, I can never choose between them. They both remind me of happy carefree moments and people I love.
And no one can handle two giant milkshakes on the same night. No one.
So the only solution is to combine java ice and brandy ice to make one killer coffee milkshake with a kick… Brandy Java Ice.
Not only is this a lovely flavorful grown-up treat, but I discovered that:
Java Ice + Brandy Ice = The Cure to All Life’s Problems.
Everything seems better with a Brandy Java Ice in hand. You have coffee for a pick-me-up, liquor for stress-relief, and ice cream for comfort. This adult coffee milkshake can ease the pain of the day and is LOADS of fun!
Plus who doesn’t love a recipe with 3 ingredients?
