Hot apple cider with a twist! This rich and perky salted caramel apple cider is just the thing to sip while sitting around the fireplace this Christmas Eve. I bet Santa wouldn’t mind a mug full either!

It’s Friday, just a few days before Christmas… I’ll keep it short and sweet today.

Not long ago we had a group of friends over to our house. On a whim, I poured a gallon of fresh apple cider in the slow cooker, along with a cup of caramel flavored syrup and a spoonful of good quality sea salt.

And do you know what? I had an instant hit on my hands, with the kids and adults alike!

Salted Caramel Apple Cider is SO GOOD guys. Tart apple flavor with a rich buttery salty caramel essence.

The kids sipped Salted Caramel Apple Cider with warm smiles and a twinkle in their eyes. And the grownups… well they doctored it up with brandy and cinnamon moonshine.

Either way, it was fabulous.

This Salted Caramel Apple Cider just the thing to keep warm in the crock pot (or on the stove top) this Christmas Eve.

Have a wonderful weekend full of memory making and marvelous meals!

Salted Caramel Apple Cider

Yield: 16 servings

Prep Time: 3 minutes

Cook Time: 10 minutes+

Ingredients:

  • 1 gallon fresh apple cider
  • 1 cup caramel flavored syrup (the kind of flavored syrup you use in coffee drinks)
  • 1/2 - 1 Tb. sea salt

Directions:

  1. Pour the apple cider and caramel syrup into a large pot (or crock pot) and warm to deserved temperature. Add 1/2 tablespoon of sea salt. Taste the Salted Caramel Apple Cider and add more if desired.

Note: You can actually purchase salted caramel syrup, but I find it's better to add your own salt.
