Yogurt Berry Smoothie + Giveaway

Today I’ve got a creamy berry smoothie recipe and a fantastic healthy giveaway to share! We love our morning smoothies. After doctoring them up with fresh fruit and superfoods, I always feel energized to focus on healthy living throughout the day.

Berry Smoothie Recipe with Yogurt and Super Greens! #smoothie #breakfast #healthy #greens

I’ve been trying to stay on a healthy track ever since January.

I have to admit, some of the comfort foods we like to share make that a little bit difficult. We try to have a little splurge, then send the rest of our homemade treats off to friends and neighbors… no complaints from them.

Yet as you know, when life gets hectic, healthy eating and exercise seem to be the two first things to fall off the wagon.

A couple months back I started searching for a Superfood Blend to add to our daily routine. I wanted to give everyone in the family a shot of superfoods first thing in the morning, to insure we all had a healthy dose of fruits, veggies, vitamins, and minerals.

Making Berry Smoothie Recipe with Yogurt and #GreensPlus! #smoothie #breakfast #healthy #greens

I tried several products I found online. Some were ridiculously expensive for what they offered, therefore not worth the money in the long run. Others were just too hard to swallow.

If you’ve ever “taken greens” you know exactly what I’m taking about. Dense superfood powders (made from a base of seaweed and wheat grass) mixed with water often turn into a gritty mud-like solution that is difficult to choke down.

After asking my Instagram friends about they’re experiences with green powders, someone recommended I try Greens Plus. I’m so glad that I did!

Greens Plus is a Superfood Blend made with:

  • Raw Green Foods
  • Super Fruits
  • Sea Vegetables
  • Herbal Extracts
  • Probiotics
  • Algea Calcium
  • Vitamins

It is also soy free, diary free, gluten free and non-gmo.

Making Easy Berry Smoothie Recipe with Yogurt and #GreensPlus! #smoothie #breakfast #healthy #greens

Greens Plus was originally created by Sam Graci to help his sister-in-law Lani Deauville with her long list of intense health problems.

After working on the formula for taste, Lani began taking Sam’s green drink and experienced amazing improvements in her overall health and life-style. So much so, they started a company to improve the health of their friends and family. Since then Greens Plus has received numerous awards for quality and effectiveness, and is now available internationally.

Greens Plus is Formulated to Help Increase:

  • Energy
  • Immunity
  • Digestion
  • Alkilinity
  • Heart Health
  • Antiaging
  • and is a Natural Detox

It comes in several flavor options as well as bars!

Greens Plus

Dan and I have both noticed a significant increase in our energy levels since we started taking Greens Plus. And even though tummy bugs and flu have been circulating in our area, our family has been germ free. I feel like our immune systems have an extra layer of protection!

And the taste?

My favorite is the Advanced Multi Wild Berry Superfood Blend. It is smoother than most green drinks, with a mild flavor that ends with a hint of berry.

I can easily drink it mixed with just water.

Making a Berry Smoothie Recipe with Yogurt and #GreensPlus! #smoothie #breakfast #healthy #greens

However, it’s also great to add to your morning smoothie.

We’ve been adding Greens Plus to our favorite berry smoothie recipe and the kids don’t even realize it’s in there. On days we don’t make them smoothies for breakfast, we pack Greens Plus bars in their lunch boxes to insure they’re getting their daily boost of superfoods.

We love smoothies, and I would love to try the powdered greens. Although I’ve used spinach in smoothies before and really enoyed it, the powdered greens look like they contain a lot of healthy stuff that would be so much easier to add to a smoothie in powdered form.

  37. Loriposted April 11, 2014 at 1:03 pm

Do powdered forms of greens provide more nutrition than the actual vegetables? I’m assuming they’re more concentrated…I’d be curious if my kids liked this better than the things we usually put in our smoothies.

This would be wonderful to add to my oldest daughters homemade blended formula. She has so many health issues, I’m always looking for ways to boost her immune system.

I’ve never tried a green food such as this, but I know it would help me in my quest to restore my health. I would put it inside smoothies to give them a nutritional boost.

We’ve tried other superfood powders for our smoothies, but they’ve always been too…earthy…too hard to get past the taste even when blended with other things. I would love to try this with my crew!

I really want to try this – have a Whole Foods and a Sprouts not too far away so will check and see if they carry this brand. I have IBS and have passed it on to my children so this sounds like something I will definitely try.

I am not in the best of health so any changes in my diet would be so helpful. I have been making changes by buying organic and non-processed foods but this sounds like it would take me to the next level! I love the fact that helps promote more energy! Just what we need in this home!!!! Would just love to try it!!
