Which KitchenAid Appliances Would You Choose?
There is an air of excitement in my house. Our long-awaited Kitchen Makeover is almost upon us and decisions must be made quickly.
Do you mind helping me out today?
Last night, an hour or so after the kids went in bed, I heard little muffled mumblings down the hall. I tiptoed toward the noise and stopped to listen. My little girl was talking in her sleep… about our Kitchen Makeover!
Isn’t that hilarious?
It seems like all our family-time is spent in the kitchen, so this remodel certainly has my families’ full attention.
We’ve decided on the style of our new kitchen cabinetry, thanks to your help. (I’ll share more on that soon!) We’ve also selected lighting and backsplash tile, and made some important decisions about the flooring and wall space.
So the last major deciding-factor is our new large appliances.
Through the course of my life, I have moved quite a few times. In the transition to Asheville, North Carolina alone, we moved three times in less that 18 months to get into our house.
We sold our home in Tulsa, Oklahoma (where we had just finished a beautiful kitchen remodel) and moved into a tiny condo up in the mountains.
House hunting in a mountainous community, where neighborhoods are stacked up every hillside, proved to take longer than we expected, so we moved into a rental house in the meantime. Then shortly after we settled into the rental, we found our home.
That being said, I’ve tested many appliance brands over the years and found some to be efficient and reliable and some that fall short.
KitchenAid Appliances have proven to be a winner time after time.
They are sturdy, built for endurance, and well-thought out. Seriously, I could just kiss those KitchenAid engineers’ faces! Even the little things, like dishwasher baskets, are designed to make your life easier.
My mom, who’s age shall remain a mystery, used to work in an appliance repair shop 50+ years ago. She says the shop keeper always recommended KitchenAid Appliances to his friends and patrons because they were the least likely to need repairs. KitchenAid has maintained that same reputation of durability for over 60 years.
So I am elated to tell you KitchenAid will be participating in our Kitchen Makeover this spring!
Would you mind giving me a little feedback on what products you like and why you like them? I’d really appreciate it…
Which Appliances Would You Pick?
Option 1 has a commercial-style gas cooktop with 4 burners and the option of an electric griddle or gas grill. I would have storage underneath the cooktop, and double ovens in the wall. These full-size ovens are made with steam-assist technology, something I’m really excited to use!
Option 2 is a dual fuel slide-in range with a full-size oven that offers convection cooking and steam-assist technology. I would also have a convection microwave/oven combo in the wall (with steam-assist there as well.)
What do you think, Option 1 or 2?
KitchenAid is known for their highly-rated refrigerators.
A. Would you go with a newer style that offers multiple drawers for convenience?
B. A classic French door style that is counter-depth for a seamless look?
C. Or a refrigerator with a single freezer drawer that provides a bit more storage space?
These dishwashers are both pretty amazing.
Option A has the latest handle style for a sleek modern look, while B’s handle matches the style of the oven doors. Both offer KitchenAid’s Exclusive ProScrub Technology with 36 targeted jets to ensure I never have to soak or pre-wash again. Awesome, right?
