Kohler Food & Wine Experience
Have you ever been to a Food and Wine Festival? In my opinion, it is an experience everyone should have (a few times). It’s a weekend of momentary indulgences, but the memories last a lifetime.
In 10 days, I’m headed off to the 2012 Kohler Food & Wine Experience, the largest food and wine festival in the Midwest.
This is the 12th Annual Kohler Food & Wine Experience, hosted at Kohler’s resort The American Club in the picturesque village of Kohler, Wisconsin. October 18th – 21st.
Over the last twelve years The American Club Resort, one of the world’s leading resort destinations, has expanded the festival from 60 events to 114 events including: Lavish Cooking Demonstrations and Tastings, Wine Spirits and Beer Tastings/Sessions, Cheese and Chocolate Pairings, Elegant Parties and Dinners, and Open Houses.
The American Club is expecting over 8,000 attendees this year–I’m so excited to be one of them!
The American Club’s luxurious spa, lush golf courses, and renowned restaurants have won many accolades over the years, like the coveted Forbes Five-Star Award.
The Kohler Waters Spa is participating in the Kohler Food & Wine Experience in its own delicious way, with the new “Bourbon on the Rocks Pedicure” with a bourbon scrub and honey glaze treatment, and the “Honey Lavender Milk Manicure” with a honey-lavender sea salt and a honeysuckle custard shea butter cream moisturizing treatment.
Ahhhh….
Some other notable events through the weekend are the annual Chef’s Challenge, Taste of the Vine, Port & Chocolate, and the Feast of Talent where guests can mix and mingle with the headlining presenters.
This year’s celebrity chef line up includes: Food Network’s Anne Burrell, America’s Test Kitchen’s Christopher Kimball, Best-Selling Author Lidia Bastianich, and Owner/Chef Tony Mantuano of Spiaggia restaurant in Chicago.
These Chefs, and many more, will host intimate cooking demos and seminars throughout the course of the weekend where attendees will actually get to sample their creations.
After attending my fair share of food festivals, I can tell you this is an extremely unique element for such a large event.
There are still a few tickets and lodging packages available. This would make a great surprise getaway for your sweetie!
To make reservations go to KohlerFoodandWine.net or call 1-800-344-2838.
Ticketed event prices start at $21 and many events and tastings are complimentary. Hotel packages with special event access are available starting at $465 per person. Also visit The American Club on Twitter #KohlerFoodWine and on Facebook.
I would LOVE to meet you in person! If you plan to attend the Kohler Food & Wine Experience Tweet Me @SpicyPerspectiv.
Disclosure: Kohler is providing me with a media badge and tickets for this event. Can’t wait to tell you all about it!
